China is likely to see the highest growth in Asia as domestic tourism has seen an unprecedented increase in the country. The rapid growth has attracted many major hotel operators to open new hotels in China. Statistics from the National Tourism Administration show that in 2010, the Chinese mainland attracted 134 million international visitors. That number is expected to reach 153 million by 2015.
In order to build on the ideals of development and co-operation, the “3rd Annual China Hotel and Resort Summit" will be held on the 28th and 29th of June, 2012 in Shanghai. The forum aims to bring together the world's prominent industry leaders and government officials to discuss the development of the Chinese hotel and resort industry, investment opportunities and challenges.
